Description

The sleeper earrings has a fascinating history dating back to the 18th century. Originally designed to be worn during sleep, these earrings were typically made of gold, silver or precious metals and adorned with gemstones, pearls, or diamonds. They were elegantly crafted to be lightweight and comfortable.

The Delphis dormeuse is inspired by the ancient representation of dolphins: to the ancient Greeks and Romans sailors, dolphins were a symbol of divine protection and guidance. The Delphis dormeuse is part of the Gyptis & Protis collection, which pays tribute to the founding myth of the city of Marseille.

The selection of gems brings a contemporary touch to your jewel. The gems can be tailored to everyone’s wish accross a mix of semi-precious and precious gemstones chosen for their vibrant colors and wonderful reflections :

  • blue topaz is light blue as the Mediterranean sea on the first of july. The gemstone is known for its calming and soothing characteristics, associated with emotional well-being and effective communication.
  • peridot is predominantly composed by the mineral olivine giving the stone this special Mediterranean green. The peridot stone is often associated with prosperity and abundance.
  • amethyst has an intense violet colour, reminding us of the shades of the ocean. It is a versatile and powerful gemstone that is highly regarded for its ability to promote spiritual growth, emotional well-being, and mental clarity.
