Founded in Marseille in October 2019, MERMERE is a jewellery studio dedicated to expressing a Mediterranean vision of luxury : sensitive, contemporary, and in tune with the aspirations of our time.

MERMERE creates jewellery inspired by a more respectful and harmonious future. Drawing from mythology, cultural syncretism, and a desire to care for both people and nature, our collections imagine worlds where humanity and the natural world are once again deeply connected.

Each creation is conceived as an artefact, imbued with symbolism and stories. They are contemporary myths to be worn, intimate talismans that embody the promise of another world: one that is hopeful, harmonious, and within reach.

The designer

Noé Selve grew up on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. Raised by parents who worked as scuba diving instructors, she developed a deep appreciation for the underwater world from an early age. Summers spent on the island of Porquerolles and everyday life in the historic port city of Marseille shaped her imagination.

Marseille holds a special place in her heart and remains an endless source of inspiration for her work. A city with thousands of years of history, it stands at the crossroads of traditions, eras, and civilizations. Understanding a culture through its artefacts lies at the heart of Noé's creative process.

After training alongside master artisans in Marseille for several years, she founded MERMERE to express both her creativity and her commitment through jewellery.
